Detailed Safari Itinerary


Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your safari begins with pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe before driving through the scenic countryside of western Uganda towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of rolling hills, tea plantations, crater lakes, and traditional villages before arriving at the park in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.


Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early for an exciting morning game drive across the Kasenyi plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and other wildlife species. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will encounter hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of water birds along the shores.


Day 3: Chimp Tracking in Kalinzu Forest and Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After breakfast, proceed to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking experience where you may also spot other primates and forest bird species. After the trek, continue your scenic drive through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 4: Gorilla Tracking and Batwa Trail Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today you will enjoy the unforgettable experience of gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will hike through the rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family and spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, enjoy the Batwa cultural trail experience to learn about the traditional forest lifestyle, music, dances, and survival skills of the Batwa people.


Day 5: Transfer from Bwindi National Park to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, transfer to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, known for its scenic islands and peaceful atmosphere. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the lakeside, enjoying optional canoe rides, bird watching, photography, and nature walks while admiring the breathtaking terraced hills surrounding the lake.


Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for an Afternoon Boat Ride and Nature Walk

After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park where you will enjoy an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo followed by a guided nature walk. During these activities, expect to spot zebras, hippos, buffaloes, elands, crocodiles, antelopes, and a variety of bird species within the park’s beautiful savannah and wetland landscapes.


Day 7: Game Drive in Lake Mburo National Park and Transfer to Entebbe

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park in search of zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, and other wildlife before beginning your return journey to Entebbe. Along the way, stop at the Uganda Equator for photography, souvenir shopping, and refreshments before arriving in Entebbe in the evening marking the end of your safari.
