However, most travelers will need a valid passport, may require a visa or electronic travel authorization (eTA), and should meet the health requirements of their destination.

1. A Valid Passport
Every traveler must have a valid passport.
Most African countries require that your passport:
- Is valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date.
- Has at least two blank visa pages.
Check your passport well before your travel dates to avoid last-minute issues.
2. Visa or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)
Many African countries require either:
- A tourist visa
- An electronic visa (eVisa)
- An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)
