Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kibale National Park
Upon arrival in Uganda, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Kibale Forest National Park. The journey takes you through scenic countryside landscapes, tea plantations, rolling hills, and local villages before arriving at the lodge in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale
After breakfast, head into the tropical rainforest of Kibale Forest National Park for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, you will search for habituated chimpanzee communities while also spotting other primates, colorful birds, and forest wildlife. After the trek, return to the lodge and enjoy relaxation surrounded by the peaceful forest environment.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of Africa’s most famous gorilla trekking destinations. Enjoy scenic views of crater lakes, terraced hills, forests, and rural communities along the journey before arriving at the lodge near Bwindi for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Today is the highlight of your safari as you experience mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early morning briefing, trek through the dense rainforest with ranger guides in search of a habituated gorilla family and spend one unforgettable hour observing these endangered primates in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge later for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer Back to Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe with stopovers for photography, refreshments, and souvenir shopping at the Uganda Equator. Arrive in Entebbe in the evening for overnight stay or preparation for your Kenya flight.
Day 6: Fly to Kenya and Transfer to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, take your flight to Nairobi where you will be welcomed and transferred to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley and Kenya’s beautiful landscapes before arriving at your safari lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Full-Day Adventure in Maasai Mara
Spend the entire day exploring the vast plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve on thrilling game drives in search of the Big Five and other wildlife species. Expect to see lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and wildebeests while enjoying spectacular views of the African savannah. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Migration.
Day 8: Transfer Back to Nairobi & Fly Back Home
After breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive as you leave Maasai Mara before transferring back to Nairobi. Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy optional city activities or shopping before being dropped off at the airport for your international departure flight marking the end of your unforgettable Uganda and Kenya safari adventure.
